If I were doing some serious counseling it would be great. If you have to really be subjected to treatment planning it is very good and recommended. If not...don't get it. It is intense and for therapists...not AOD counselors.
By Deborah Oliver
Whether you are just beginning or an experienced professional, this book is a must have. While all topics covered may not apply in every instance, its methodology and logical approach make it a helpful and useful resource for conducting groups of all types. I use it for clinical mental health consumers and I would highly reccommend it to those in the counseling and therapist professions. would also recommend the companion book "Homework Planner" for IOP settings that may only meet on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
