I finally read the book. And I really like it.
The book helped me to understand how I car integrate these three approaches. I'm already using Positive CBT in my work. Maybe not "mot a mot" but it stimulated my imagination and let me understand how I can use Positive Psy and SFT alon with CBT.
I would recommend Positive CBT to any CBT and SFT therapist. I must admit that the book may be difficult to understand if you do not know about CBT.
I'm looking forward for new material on this topic.

Practicing Positive CBT is an easy to read book in which Positive Psychology, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy are well combined.
Bannink provides the reader with practical ideas and exercises to employ CBT in a solution-focused way. Various parts of CBT pass in review, like making a functional behavior analysis, executing behavioral experiments and setting homework.
People often ask how to combine CBT with Solution-Focused Brief Therapy en Positive Psychology. This book clearly gives the answers.

Patients as Victims: Sexual Abuse in Psychotherapy and Counselling [Paperback]

Rating: (1 reviews)
Author: Derek Jehu
ISBN : 9780471943983
Buy New from $110.94
Patients as Victims Sexual Abuse in Psychotherapy and Counselling Derek Jehu, University of Leicester, UK with specialist contributions from John Davis, Tanya Garrett, Linda Jorgenson and Gary Schoener There is growing concern at the number of complaints about sexual abuse of patients while undergoing therapy. This book discusses the ethical proscription of sex between therapists and patients, and the legal and professional regulation of abuse in both North America and Britain--including many very recent and important legislative developments. The author looks at characteristics which appear to place therapists at risk of abusing, together with some pre-conditions necessary for the occurrence of abuse. He also discusses certain characteristics which render patients vulnerable to abuse, the consequences of abuse for them, and the treatment of the problems they present. Practitioners and trainees in the professions of clinical psychology, psychiatry, nursing, counselling and social work will find this volume essential reading, particularly as it offers detailed guidance on treatment of abusive therapists and victimized patients. Derek Jehu's authoritative study of sexual abuse in psychotherapy offers much hope to those who have undergone such a traumatic event. The book is clearly for clinicians and students but remains accessible to anyone trying to understand the process of therapy abuse. Professor Jehu validates the experiences of abused clients/patients with a rare understanding and gives a much needed credibility to the suffering endured by victims. Throughout the book the reader is made unequivocally aware of the responsibilities therapists have towards their clients and that at no time can a client/patient be seen to have manipulated the situation. Writing within his profession brings even greater credence and I would thouroughly recommend that this book becomes a standard text-book for everyone entering the therapeutic profession

Understanding, Assessing and Rehabilitating Juvenile Sexual Offenders Paperback

Rating: (6 reviews)
Author: Phil Rich EdD MSW
ISBN : 9780470551721
Buy New from $54.00

Review

Phil Rich's book "Understanding, Assessing, and Rehabilitating Juvenile Sexual Offenders" about the assessment of adolescents who sexually abuse others, therapeutic intervention with this client group and rehabilitation, is a very comprehensive and readable piece of literature. The breadth of information provided in the book, combining current research and clinical practice, seems to make it an ideal manual for people starting out in the field of adolescent sexual abusers as well as for people working clinically with the client group but who have little access to current literature advocating new research findings.
Well-researched, Phil Rich critically reviews in Section I the current knowledge and research base on Juvenile Sexual Offenders. Section II, emphasises one of the most important topics when working with Juvenile Sex Offenders, that is, the assessment of risk and inherent difficulties in assessing risk of recidivism in juveniles who sexually abuse. Section II introduces the rationale, application and usefulness of Stetson's/Phil Rich's own Structured Clinical Assessment Tool. Finally, in Section III, the author approaches treatment and intervention with juvenile sexual abusers, providing a general overview of forensic mental health treatment from pharmacology to psychotherapy, and then more specific and offence-related work with the client group, advocating an eclectic as well as holistic approach to treatment and rehabilitation of the young offenders.
In sum, "Understanding, Assessing, and Rehabilitating Juvenile Sexual Offenders" is an enjoyable read, with the only critique being the use of the term "kids". Maybe this is an American versus British English thing, but it seems too colloquial a word for the nature of the book and the professional audience it is aimed at.

"...an essential resource for any professional working with juvenile sex offenders..." (Child Right, Jan/Feb 2004)
--This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

Review

"The second edition of Understanding, Assessing, and Rehabilitating Juvenile Sex Offenders showcases Phil Rich's experience and mastery of the research and clinical literature. In my view, this is an excellent therapy book, and like its predecessor, will help practitioners to work effectively and ethically with juvenile offenders.  It is destined to become a classic."
Tony Ward, MA, Ph.D., DipClinPsy, Victoria University of Wellington, Wellington, New Zealand

"Phil Rich is considered one of the world's leading authorities on how best to understand, assess, and treat juvenile sexual offenders, and this second edition of his excellent text shows why he is held in such high regard. All theoreticians, researchers, and practitioners whose work brings them in contact with juvenile sexual offenders should definitely read this remarkable book."
W. L. Marshall, OC, FRSC, Ph.D., Director, Rockwood Psychological Services Ontario, Canada

"Phil Rich's book, Understanding, Assessing, and Rehabilitating Juvenile Sexual Offenders Second Edition offers new and thought provoking ideas, updates and information, especially on developmental pathways. This book is one of the few publications on juvenile sexual offending that offers something new and revealing to the field."
Robert E. Longo, LPC, NCC, ACS, BCIA-EEG, BCN Serendipity Healing Arts Lexington, North Carolina

"Phil Rich masterfully fills the gap in the juvenile sexual offender treatment literature with a book that is neither introductory nor narrowly specialized. Seasoned veterans will appreciate his thoughtful and studied approach. Newcomers will find this book a vital go-to resource."
David Prescott, LICSW, Clinical Director, Becket Programs of Maine Falmouth, Maine

"Mind blowingly brilliant--Rich by name and rich in depth, detail, description and debate. An instant classic, Understanding, Assessing, and Rehabilitating Juvenile Sexual Offenders Second Edition is both comprehensive and challenging with its material and messages yet reassuringly accessible and practical."
Martin C. Calder, Calder Training & Consultancy, Leigh, Lancashire, UK
