Essentials of Abnormal Psychology

Although the book was a little more worn out and used than I expected, it came on time and I am pretty satisfied with the price. I look forward to using it as a resource.

This book served its purpose, and is easy to read as it is not too "textbook-ey", however it is just an informational and brief survey of abnormal psychology. Also, in the "substance abuse" category, they only discussed alcoholism and did not address any other types of drug addictions, which in my opinion was a huge loss of information-- if the point of discussing abnormal psychology is to develop a better understanding between the 'sick' and the 'well' , then there was no understanding offered for people suffering from addictions to serious behavior altering drugs such as cocaine, heroine, and prescription drugs. Great for a high school or undergraduate student, but not sophisticated enough for graduate or professional studies.
