Index.
This book is an excellent find. It presents research evidence in a balanced way and is very useful for any therapist who works with sex offenders. It is also a good resource for those who perform evaluations on this population. The contributors have good writing skills; this is important to me because if a book is not interesting reading I will usually put it down. Several chapters stand out: recidivism risk assessment, sadistic offenders, and dynamic risk assessment. I have read several books on sex offender treatment and this is by far the best.By Stephen Kaplan
I like the book. It brings up great issues. I especially like Yolanda Fernandez' contribution. She addresses fundamental issues that are core belief issues of the treatment provider that all who do this work need to address for themselves.By Barry T. Levy
