I am a licensed psychologist and work with individuals suffering from PTSD and their families. I have been using this manual and workbook set for the past six months, and it has been an invaluable resource. It helps new service members returning from war really understand how combat stress is affecting themselves and others around them. The focus is on the knowledge and skills needed to make a healthy transition from the deployment environment to the home environment. The coping skills provided are extremely practical, and have helped me make a huge difference in the lives of my clients in relatively little time. I have worked with service members and veterans since the 1980's, and wish that a manual like this was around at that time.
